And alas, through all the repetitive muck out there I have found an excellent source for all the insider information I love. The Lonely Planet Thorn Tree travel forum allows for you to ask all the questions you want and for people who have traveled or lived in the place of question to give you the inside scoop. Be warned, there are a few nasties out there who will criticize everything you say and boo every idea you have, but pay no attention. You’re the one out there planning a trip and they are stuck on their computer with a big chip on their shoulder.
Needless to say, I’m counting the days until March 16th.
